Brice, Fanny
(1891-1951)
   American entertainer. Born in New York City, she was heard by Florenz Ziegfeld in a burlesque show and became a regular performer in the Ziegfeld Follies. She appeared in musical shows in the 1920s and 1930s. Her career was the basis of the film Funny Girl.
